Description

The digital skills gap negatively affects millions of low-skilled adults across Europe, limiting their employability, social inclusion, and full participation in the digital economy. This exclusion is particularly evident among women, migrants, refugees, and people with disabilities, further deepening existing inequalities. Additionally, educators lack adequate pedagogical tools to meet the challenges of the digital age, especially regarding the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The lack of digital well-being and AI literacy is an increasingly critical risk factor, calling for a systemic and inclusive response at the European level.

Objectives

The project aims to develop and implement innovative and inclusive training pathways focused on digital literacy and the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). It will create 10 modular courses based on active methodologies such as challenge-based learning, flipped classrooms, and digital escape rooms, to be implemented in 6 adult education centers across partner countries. The project also includes mentoring programs for women, awareness campaigns to challenge gender stereotypes in ICT, workshops on digital well-being, and the creation of resources on ethical AI. These efforts aim to empower 1,000 adults with fewer opportunities, train 120 educators, and raise awareness among at least 400 women about their role in the digital sector. The expected impact includes increased employability, digital and social inclusion, reduced gender inequalities, and the promotion of responsible technology use.

Activities Resume

The project, led by a consortium of six partners from Spain, Portugal, Italy, the Netherlands, and Romania, is structured around a practical and hands-on approach, combining in-person and online training sessions, bootcamps, digital resources, and dissemination events. The activities also include transnational research, the exchange of best practices, and continuous impact assessment.
